Ingredients
- 1 Tablespoon oil
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut bite-sized
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1½ teaspoons of garlic powder or 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 cups cooked white beans (or two 15-ounce cans, drained
- and rinsed)
- 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 cup (two 4-ounce cans) chopped mild green chiles
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper or chili powder, if desired

Directions
- Heat oil in a large saucepan; sauté the chicken, onion and garlic until the chicken is no longer pink.
- Add the beans, broth, green chiles and seasonings.
- Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer uncovered for 30 minutes.
- Remove from the heat; stir in sour cream or yogurt and milk
